Providing life-saving surgery to critically ill children. NECO will augment its previous support by working throughout 2007 with Gift of Life USA, Gift of Life Italy and Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo, to make possible 150 heart operations for children from Gaza in the Middle East. Dr. Giancarlo Crupi, Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Ospedali Riuniti, and surgical teams from around the world, will enable children to receive the highly specialized cardiac surgery in the Arab sector of Jerusalem, where it has never before been available. The doctors treating these indigent children, all of whom suffer from congenital heart disease, work on a completely voluntary basis. NECO is committed both to underwriting medical costs and to providing transportation from Gaza to Jerusalem.

Help academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential. NECO continues to work with the AIG and ICCUSA (Ireland Chamber of Commerce, USA) to build homes for underserved youth in New Orleans and elsewhere. BHGH supports these teenagers through high school and college, assuring that they will become useful and educated citizens.
